Welcome to JohnWordsworth.com

As you have probably guessed by now, I am known to most as John Wordsworth. I work as a freelance web developer, programmer, graphic designer and (3D and drawn) artist based in Exeter, Devon, UK. I aim to bring a level of innovation to each and every project that I get involved in and I'm always interested to hear about new and unique projects. My portfolio shows just a small selection of the wide variety of projects that I have worked on, some of which personal, many of which professional.

Website Developer / PHP Scripter

The majority of the work I embark upon is website development and the projects have ranged from straightforward corporate identity to fully fledged multi-media enabled systems such as an online voting system and an online art gallery with immersive trails and walks. If you are looking for a web developer, to complete a project or to add to a team, I would advise looking at my portfolio and curriculum vitae (cv). If you find them interesting, please don't hesitate to Contact Me. I'm currently working with a web design company called Upper Edge Media based in London, UK, but am still available for smaller jobs.

Java / C++ Programmer

I have over 8 years of programming experience with a variety of languages, including C/C++, Java, Java 2 ME MIDP 2.0, Perl, PHP, Javascript and X86 ASM. Examples of previous projects, such as Space Invaders for my mobile phone and experimental simulation software for mathematical and computer science research, can be found in my portfolio.

Graphic Designer

Having been Technical Editor for over 4 years for a university newspaper reaching over 3,000 students, I've had extensive training and hands-on experience with page-layout, magazine-design, poster creation and logo design. During this period I have also helped various companies rebrand and can offer a variety of services in this area.

2D / 3D Artist and Colourer

I've been making use of 3D software for over 6 years now creating 3D models for games and animations, splicing special effects into video footage, drawing fantasy and comedy artwork and colouring in a variety of styles using Photoshop. I am always available for commission on artwork.
